Frankenstein Conquers the World
The prologue is set in World War II, circa 1945. Nazis break into the laboratory of Dr. Reisendorf and confiscate the heart of the Frankenstein Monster, on which he is busy experimenting. The Nazis travel by submarine to the Pacific. The Allied Forces then bomb their submarine, but not before the Nazis are able to pass the heart (contained in a locked chest) to the Imperial Japanese Navy, who take it back to Hiroshima to be experimented on. But just as they are about to begin, Hiroshima is bombed by the Allied Forces, and the heart is lost.
MonsterVerse
Bunker 09's world map indicates that Monarch established at least one emergency bunker in Germany, and possibly a second one near the borders with France, Italy and Switzerland, in decades past.
At some point before 2019, Monarch discovered Methuselah hibernating in the countryside near Munich, Germany, disguised as a forested mountain ridge in his dormant state, and established Outpost 67 to monitor him. In the novelization, a local legend indicates that Methuselah came to the area approximately during the Middle Ages and obliterated a village on the spot where he settled down to sleep.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters
In 2019, Methuselah awakens from his hibernation in response to King Ghidorah's alpha call commanding the Titans around the world to actively rampage at his command. A monitor in Castle Bravo subsequently shows Methuselah rampaging in the city of Munich proper. Monarch's digital world maps indicate that Methuselah's rampage takes it out of Germany and into other countries by the time the ORCA's call prompts him to halt his rampage.[1][2]
