Bunker 09's map reveals that Monarch built two emergency bunkers in Australia decades prior. At some point before 2019, Monarch discovered the Titan Bunyip in Uluru (Ayers Rock), and established Outpost 99 around it to contain it.

After being diverted from her usual migratory route, Co-Cai and her sea scarabs arrived on a beach in the Cape Melville National Park. There, the Titan lays an egg while the scarabs help her build a nest.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters
When King Ghidorah calls the Titans around the world to awaken and begin rampaging under his command, Bunyip breaks free of Outpost 99 to answer its new pack alpha's commands. Castle Bravo's world map indicates during the meeting at the base that Bunyip has moved into the north of Western Australia, while the USS Argo's digital world map later indicates that it has since moved northeast of there to reach the northern Australian coastline around the Gove Peninsula, when the ORCA's call from Boston prompts it to halt its rampage.

Godzilla: Monster Apocalypse
On Christmas Day, Dagahra made its way toward Australia, wreaking havoc from Sydney to Newcastle. The Australian Navy hesitated to engage the creature, fearing that an attack could unleash more Barem into the surrounding waters. An ill-fated order to engage Dagahra was given, but the monster retreated, leaving behind its carcass, which contaminated the waters with Barem. This led to a devastating pandemic and famine known as the "Red Christmas Scourge," resulting in 3 million deaths by 2018. The pollution led to the collapse of Australia, forcing humanity to abandon the continent, with Dagahra's destruction ultimately claiming around 6.7 million lives.
